Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new and seeking more employees
Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand prisons, and client transport.
Prison Fosie is located on the outskirts of Malmö and was built in 1986. Fosie is a prison in security class 2 with space for 173 men, where approximately 300 employees and 10 managers manage, lead, and develop the operations. The operations are in constant change and have been expanded several times over the years, including establishing places for particularly resource-demanding inmates (SRI) and through a new modular building completed in 2023.
